New Student Orientation
Your transition into the University of St. Thomas begins at Orientation!
During Orientation, you and your family get to know the UST campus community, our programs, fellow students and their families.
Most importantly, at Orientation, you become a Celt.
Freshman Orientation
Freshman Orientation is a mandatory two-day, overnight free program designed to help new Celts transition smoothly into college life. You'll immerse yourself in the UST community through traditional events, campus living, and exclusive merchandise. Additionally, federally mandated compliance sessions will introduce University resources, and you'll have the chance to build connections, register for classes, navigate campus, and prepare for a successful academic year.
Fall 2025 students will register for one of the Orientation Sessions held over the course of the summer. Session dates will be released at a later date. All registrations for sessions will be completed through your admissions counselor.
To be eligible for Orientation, you must complete the immunization forms and submit your deposit. Failure to complete these requirements will result in being unable to attend.
For any questions regarding steps to complete the enrollment deposit or immunizations, please contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@stthom.edu for assistance.
Celt Camp
Celt Camp is an optional two-day, one-night immersive experience designed to introduce students to campus life at UST. It provides an opportunity to live as a temporary campus resident, build lasting friendships, and engage with the vibrant UST community. The camp attendees get a preview of UST’s traditions and culture, helping students transition into their college journey with unforgettable memories. A standard activity fee is required to participate in Celt Camp. Housing is available for commuters for an additional fee.
Please note: Registration for Celt Camp is available after completing orientation. Celt Camp is more than just an event—it’s the start of your adventure at UST!
Even though most of our attendees share common experiences through general events such as: Clash of Celts, Involvement fair, Basilian BBQ, Celt Crossover and Roll call. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in faith related events which, while encouraged, are not mandatory. These include Praise and Worship and Wonderful Wednesday!
Attendees will join one of two small group tracks, allowing them to dive deeper into themes that shape the UST experience:

Focus: Starting anew with Christ, and strengthening faith.
Red Track - Community & Traditions
